Rubbish and recycling
Bin collection day is Thursday. Put bins out the night before or by 7 am on the day. The blue bin (or clear bags) takes recycling including paper, bottles, cans and some plastics. The Green bin (or lilac bags) is for general waste that cannot be recycled. Blue and Green bins are collected on alternate weeks.
Additional recycling will be collected if it is in a clear bag or cardboard box. Additional general waste or black bin bags will NOT be taken. The small green bin is for food waste – collected weekly. The brown bin (extra charge) is for garden waste. Check the timetable and what goes in each bin: www.oxford.gov.u/info/20004/recycling_and_waste where you can also get a weekly reminder via email or text.
Please take bins in a soon as you can after collection. Bins that obstruct pavements make life difficult for anyone with mobility problems or with a pushchair.
