FIRST MONDAYS - TALKS FROM OUR COMMUNITY FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Over the years, many DRARA residents have given 40 fascinating talks or guided walks to share their knowledge or experiences with others in our community. We have so many interesting people living in our community, with a wide experience of life from travel, to work, to people met and hobbies enjoyed, exploits and surprising knowledge acquired and wisdom to share.
Thanks to the brainstorm of resident Elizabeth Mills and partnership with Clare Ridley, together with the context of the Covid pandemic and lockdown, in January 2021, DRARA launched a regular series of on-line talks "First Monday with DRARA" - taking place on the first Monday of each month. The talks lasted half an hour, followed by questions and discussion with our guest and fellow neighbours. These talks were extremely popular from the start, and both the talk and discussions wererecorded and made available on this webpage for others to enjoy at a later date - see below.
